Troubleshoot internet connection

If you are a SMART Bro Residential subscriber, you may check the status of your modem's basestation for downtime.

Try the following basic troubleshooting steps to restore your internet connection:

  1. Check if all cables are properly connected and if the power adaptor is plugged to the power source.
  2. If you are using a router, temporarily connect the modem to just 1 computer to isolate the cause.
  3. Ensure that your computer is set to automatically obtain IP address and DNS (DHCP enabled).
  4. Disable your internet browser's proxy settings.
