If you are a SMART Prepaid or a Talk 'N Text subscriber, you may activate or deactivate your international text roaming via SMS, SIM menu or online. This service is available to over 100 countries worldwide.
Please activate this service at least 1 hour before your departure and maintain at least P100 balance.
Important Notes:
- Voice services will be disabled once International Text Roaming is active.
- For the list of countries supporting prepaid voice roaming, please click here.
- Remember to deactivate your roaming service once you have returned to the Philippines to resume voice calls.
Via SMS
- To activate: Send ROAM<space>ON to 333.
- To deactivate: Send ROAM<space>OFF to 333.
Via SIM Connect (SIM Settings)
- Open your SMART Menu.
- Choose SIM Connect (or SIM Settings).
- Select GSM.
- Select ROAM.
- Choose ON/OFF.
Via Web Connect
- Register and log-in to my.Smart. Registration is FREE.
- Once logged-in, link your Smart mobile number to your my.Smart account.
- Once linked, click the "Manage" option beside the account you want to have the settings activated.
- Under Services header, select International Roaming.
- Select "Activate this service" or "Deactivate this service".
- Click "Proceed".
Note: If you are already outside the country, you may still activate your text roaming service via my.Smart.
